This year the Oscars have 10 slots for Best Picture. Oliver Stone hopes that one of those will be filled by the adaptation of Cormac McCarthy's post-apocalyptic "The Road" . Stone says, " "The Road" transcends it's sorrow, and raises the hope that humanity can prevail".
