I've been looking at similarities between Natural Born Killers and the New Hollywood road movies of the late 60's early 70's (Bonnie and Clyde, Easy Rider etc) and there are a lot of obvious strong influences in the content.

The road movies were obviously heavily contextual, reflecting young people's reaction to Vietnam. Do you think Natural Born Killers reflects any contextual issues of its own other than media desensitisation of violence?

How did the film make you feel in regards to the American Dream?
